Clinical Analysts Of The Modified Gluteal Muscle Release On Severe Gluteal Muscule Contracture

Objective:To explore the satisfied way of surgery to treat patients with severe gluteal muscle contracture,we observed and analyzed the effect of the traditional way and improved way of operation on the gluteal muscle contracture.Methods:A retrospective analysis was done on 38 patients with gluteal muscle contracture treated in Department of Orthopedics in our hospital from September 2014 to September 2016 within whom 15 patients was treated with traditional surgery and 23 with improved surgery.Followed up for 3-24 months.We evaluated the effect of surgery according to the Functional Quantification Scale of gluteal muscle contracture,and recorded the indicators including operation time,blood loss,amount of liquid from drainage after operation,time of patients to get out of bed,hospitalization time,abductor muscle strength,incision length and postoperative complications.Results:We found that there were no significant difference of the operation time,time of patients to get out of bed,hospitalization time and incision length between the traditional surgery group and improved gluteal muscle release according to the follow-up of these 38 patients for 3?24 months(P>0.05),but the abductor muscle strength and postoperative complications of patients in improved gluteal muscle release group show a statistically better result compared with traditional surgery group(P<0.05).The effect of surgery(gait after surgery,cross your legs,and knee squat with knee put together,snapping hip)was not statistically different between the two gropes when compared at 1 week and 4 weeks after the operation(P<0.05),but it was statistically different when we evaluated at 8 weeks and half of a year after the operation(P<0.05).Conclusion:The modified gluteal muscle release can not only release contracture of tissue to the maximum extent in the patients with severe gluteal muscle contracture when compared to the traditional way of surgery,but also can fully maintain the strength of gluteus muscle.It is a good way of surgery and has achieved satisfactory effect in the clinical treatment.
