Objective:To investigate the clinical application value of Safflower yellow injection and Xueshuantong injection in acute cerebral infraction, and compare their effectiveness.Methods:180 ACI patients were selected and divided into 3 groups randomly, which were Safflower yellow group(group 1), Xueshuantong injection group(group 2) and control group(group3). 60 cases were contained in each group. All of the groups received conventional therapy, with Safflower yellow injection added in group 1 and Xueshuantong injection added in group 2. 14 days were taken as a course. Before, during and after the course, degree of neurological impairments(NIHSS and BI) and lipid levels were evaluated. Neurological outcome is mainly assessed by NIHSS scores. Neurological outcome=[(NIHSS score before treatment-NIHSS score after treatment)/ NIHSS score before treatment] ×100%。Results:Before treatment, the average NIHSS scores, BI scores and blood lipid level of three groups had no significant difference.7 days after admission, Average HIHSS scores of group 1 and group 2 were significantly lower than group 3; Average HIHSS score of group 1 was significantly lower than group 2; BI scores and blood lipid level of group 1 and group 2 were better than group 3. Carotid atherosclerotic plaque size and blood homocysteine level showed no difference between group1 and group 2, while they are better than group3.14 days after admission, group 1 and group 2 have lower average NIHSS scores than group 3; Average NIHSS scores of group 1 and 2 showed no difference; Overall outcomes of the three groups were better than that in admission and 7 days after admission. Carotid atherosclerotic plaque size and blood homocysteine level showed no difference between group1 and group 2, while they are better than group3.Conclusion : Adding Safflower yellow injection and Xueshuantong injection to general therapy is better than conventional therapy. What’s more, Safflower yellow injection seems to be faster in improving neural function, although the NIHSS scores of group 1 and 2 on 14 days after admission showed no difference. The combination therapy is worthy of promotion in clinical application.
