Object: In this article, we observed the clinical curative effect of modified scutellaria decoction on treatment of Chronic Non-atrophic Gastritis of humid heat to hinder type and drug safety assessment through clinical trials, as to provide theoretical basis for its promotion in clinic and develop new thoughts of the treatment of Chronic Non-atrophic Gastritis.Method: A total of 65 patients were studied who were consulted or hospitalized at Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University between December 2013 and December 2014. The patients should conform to the Western medicine diagnostic criteria of Chronic Non-atrophic Gastritis. And the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) type is humid heat to hinder type. We abided by the principle of parallel, open, randomized, balanced and compared before and after processing method. According to the random number table, the selected patients were divided into two groups, the treatment group contained 33 patients, the control group contained 32 patients. As to the treatment, we treated the patients in two groups with omeprazole enteric-coated tablets(Sanjing pharmaceutical norgas limited liability company, approved by State H20064032) 20 mg once a day and modified scutellaria decoction once a day respectively with a course of two weeks(all the Chinese medicine tablets came from TCM pharmacy of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University), and the Chinese medicine was decocted in water for oral dose. After the treatment, the curative effect and the improvement of TCM syndrome were observed. All data are analyzed using SPSS19.0 statistical software.Result: Through the study, 3 patients of the treatment group and 2 patients of the control group were extracted according to the selection and suspending standard. And the other 30 patients on the treatment group and 30 patients on the control group were efficient cases. As to the basic characteristics of patients in both groups, there is no statistical significance in the aspect of gender, age, length of the course of the disease, TCM syndrome score before the treatment, gastroscope and pathology score through statistics analysis(p>0.05). After the treatment, the result of statistical analysis is as follows:(1)Clinical effective rate: after a course of treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group is 90.0%, while the control group is 76.7%, with data analyzed, differences are statistically significant(p<0.05),which means the total clinical curative effect of treatment is better than that of the control group.(2)TCM syndrome score: after the treatment, the total TCM syndrome score was compared between the two groups, and the differences are statistically significant(p<0.01), which means that modified scutellaria decoction had an advantage on improving TCM symptoms of Chronic Non-atrophic Gastritis compared with western medicine. Comparing the single symptom score after the treatment, it showed that the treatment group was comparable with the controlled group on the aspect of relieving stomachache, nausea and vomiting(p>0.05). As to the relief of eat less, belching, dry mouth and mouth bitter, urinate yellow and tired feeling, the treatment group was superior to the controlled group. And with regard to the relief of stomach heat and constipation, the treatment group had a remarkable advantage compared with the controlled group(p<0.01).(3)Neither of the two groups appeared side effects during the course of treatment, and the laboratory indexes such as liver function(ALT, AST), renal function(BUN, Scr), blood test, stool routine, urine routine and electrocardiogram did not show obvious abnormal. Conclusion: Both of the group is effective for the treatment of Chronic Non-atrophic Gastritis, and can improve the TCM syndromes and signs effectively. Besides, modified scutellaria decoction has remarkable efficiency on treatment of Chronic Non-atrophic Gastritis. And it is superior to western medicine in the aspect of clinical curative effect and management of TCM symptoms. Above all, it is a safe and effective drug for the clinical treatment of Chronic Non-atrophic Gastritis.
