BackgroundScience and technology journals are an important part of scientific research. As an important carrier of independent innovation of knowledge, science and technology journals have made great contributions to the publishing, communication, dissemination, transformation and application of scientific research results. It plays an incomparable role for spread of scientific and technological knowledge. As an important branch of Library and information science, bibliometric plays an important role in journal evaluation. Using bibliometric to statistics and analysis of relevant indicators in the Journal, we can understand the current situation, advantages and problems of the journal, and give the suggestion for the future development plan of the journal."Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis" is an advanced academic journal of tuberculosis prevention and control. As the core journals of Chinese science and technology, it expands its influence. In order to show the development trend of "Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis" from 2003 to 2015, we use the bibliometric researching to evaluate the journal.Objectives.Using the indicator of bibliometric to analyze the data of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis and to understand its current status, the advantages, shortcomings. And finally providing reference for future planning and development for Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis.MethodsBased on the bibliometric, the analysis of "Chinese Journal of Antitubersculosis" from 2003 to 2015 was made. The analysis contains ratio of funded articles, the amount of papers, number of references cited per article, information density (number of articles with 16 print pages), number of authors per article, total number of articles published per year, proportion of articles with multiple authors, the geography authors, number of journal’s core authors, citing half life, price index, et al.The data are from the "Chinese turberculosis literature magazine" web version, and we double check Wan Fang database. Manual data entries, and uses excel to analysis and statistical data.ResultThe average of quantity of published paper per year is in a relatively stable level between 2003 to 2015. Ratio of funded articles increases year by year, in 2011 has reached 40.89%, and in the next few years are maintained the level more than 40%. The journal has a stable core author group. The authors spread 31 provinces, and most of the authors are from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shandong, Zhejiang and Hubei. Most of the authors are medical staffs from hospital or tuberculosis prevention and control association. The every literature authors increases from 4.47 persons in 2003 to 6.26 persons in 2015. The cooperation rate of literature reached 96.08%. The average number of citations is 15.18 in 2015, and most of the citations are Chinese and English, references to sources of journals and books. Price index is 50.99%, and the self-citing rate average year is 15.2%. The impact factor increases year by year, and reach 48 of 1989 core journal.ConclusionAs the tuberculosis prevention and control journal, Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis expands its influence and the scope. It has won the national TB counterparts highly recognized and affirmed. For the future plan, the journal should do as the following:(1) optimization of columns, standardization title, giving prominent column, (2) increase in the number of magazine articles,(3) increase the fund articles and number of references,(4) strengthen the editorial team.
