Confucianist Wang Tong in Sui Dynasty, by his family influenced at an early age, makesthe inheriting the Confucius thought as his responsibility, in his political practice,he hasalways taken Confucius as example, diligently pursues Zhou Gong, as well as ConfuciusWang Tao politics, in order to restore the inherent characteristics of traditional confucianism.After an unhappy, Wang Tong returned home, Enrolling students and making lectures, whichaccumulating his fame of “Wen Zhongzi”, later the reputation of “He Fen orthodoxyConfucian”.Wang Tong ’s ethical thought is mainly reflected in the book “Zhong Shuo”, the thrust ofhis thought is to hightlighting Confucianism, which takes Zhong Yong as its basis,systematically elaborating his Zhong Dao theory, which in turn exerted a significant influenceof Neo-Confucianism in the Song Dynasty, and have been developed into“Tai Chi” and “Li”,which has the meaning of metaphysics. As to the relationship between Jun and Collinson,Wang Tong king analyzes it between man and nature, advocates to understanding it from thelaw of the Tian. For the problem of “Wang Ba Yi and Li”, Wang Tong puts forward aNeutralization of the four aspect.As for the personal moral cultivation, Wang Tong putsforward the method of inquiring deeply, Jin Xing, and Chen Du,etc.Looking from Wang Tong’s ethical thought in an logical way, on the one hand, WangTong lifts the Pre-Qin Confucian banner by argues that Learning in order to practise but notthe glitz; on the other hand, he emphasizes the history, advocates to pay equal attention toclassics and history, which opens the door of “all the six classics are history”. Wang Tong notonly cultivates many of statecrafts for the Tang Dynasty, his ethical thought of Confucianismin the reform process in Sui and Tang Dynasties also occupies a very important position, hisreligious ideas inspired the “Song Ming Li Xue”,and his pragmatic idea has an importantinflunce on of another team in Southern Song Dynasty——“Shi Gong”school. In addition,Wang tong’s Zhong Dao theory and cultivation methods has a significant on buildingharmonious society.
