This is a translation report on A Companion to19thCentury America published byBlakewell Publisher in2001. This book is a collection of essays, which is edited byWilliam L. Barner, a historian professor in America. The whole collection consists ofsix parts and the translator chooses the first two chapters of the sixth part. The chosentwo parts introduces the19thcentury America from two areas of communicationrevolution and religion, showing the unique perspectives to America.
