A Comparative Study On Chinese Particle "Gen"and English Particle "with" And Studies On Other Foreign Chinese Teaching Issues About "Gen"

The teaching management of the Chinese preposition “gen” is both the keypoint of modern Chinese teaching and the foreign Chinese teaching. The preposition“gen” is frequently used with high rate of errors by foreign students. However, thestudy of the preposition based on the comparison of Chinese “gen” and English“with” is inadequate. The paper select Chinese preposition “gen” as the researchobjective, study it from the comparison of Chinese “gen” and English “with”、error analysis、teaching material compilation and teaching strategies inspection.The first chapter mainly talks about the reason and worth of the study、 theresearch achievements of preposition“gen” at home and abroad and the studymethods、theoretical basis and language materials sources of this paper.The second chapter makes a contrast between Chinese “gen” and English “with”from the perspective of semantics、syntax and pragmatics, and finally conclude theresemblances and differences between them.The third chapter makes a further analysis of the errors made by European andAmerican students on the use of Chinese preposition “gen”, dividing the types of theerrors, and then analyzes the reasons of error occurrence.The fourth chapter selects four sets of teaching Chinese as a foreign languagetextbooks as the investigation objective, analyzing and evaluating the arrangements ofthe Chinese preposition “gen” in the textbooks.The fifth chapter makes pertinent suggestions on the teaching of Chinesepreposition “gen” based on the former conclusions of the comparative analysis, biasanalysis and textbooks inspection.
