Cultural industry is one of the most promising industries in the21st century. Ithas a huge market potential and a broad prospects for the industry. Trends in the worldeconomy has shown that science and technology-based industries has graduallybecome the two pillars of the knowledge economy is the main point of growth in theworld economy."Cultural power" is the important signs of as a country’scomprehensive strength and international competitiveness. In recent years, governments pay attention to cultural industries at all levels of the growing, theresearch on the efficiency of the cultural industry can not only recognize the Chineseprovinces of cultural industry input-output efficiency of the current situation, identifyregional differences and influencing factors, but also to a certain extent, culturalindustries test the effectiveness of related policies and regulations, and for futurereference policy has important significance.According to the characteristics of the development in the situation anddevelopment of China’s cultural industry, this paper selected relatively maturedomestic efficiency evaluation method. Choose more mature domestic efficiencyevaluation method to establish the stochastic frontier model and Malmquist Indexmicroscopic analysis of cultural industries and cultural industries in view of the model, and compare the results of macro-efficiency and micro-efficiency results from thebeginning of the efficiency of the cultural industry research status. At the end, thispaper evaluates efficiency of cultural industry in31provinces of china form2006to2010with SFA model. In addition, we used Malmquist and spatial econometrics toanalyze the elements that affect the efficiency. The results demonstrate that: The regional disparity of Chinese culturalindustries is obvious, showing gradient distribution pattern of high in east and low inwest, but the interregional cultural industries development has convergence trend. Thedevelopment of interregional cultural industries has increasingly positive spatialcorrelation and spatial correlation and spatial agglomeration. The economicdevelopment, cultural policy and scientific and technological innovation factors allexplain the regional disparity of cultural industries. The spatial spillover effect of cultural industries helps to reduce the regional disparity of cultural industries.
