A Study On The Relationship Of Facing Audience Communication Apprehension Exerted By Core Self-esteem, Social Support And Coping Style

Facing audience communication apprehension(FACA) is one ofthe interpersonal barries which is common among postgradua-tes.It causes sever negative influence on postgraduates.It isvery important to prevent and solve facing audience communicat-ion apprehension that study on the factors of the facingaudience communication apprehension.1090postgraduates from3universities of Guiyang wereinvestigated by Chinese postgraduates Facing audience commun-ication apprehension scale, core self-esteem scale(CSES),Simplified Coping Style Scale and Social support scale. Statusof Facing audience communication apprehension, correlativityamong FACA, CSE, social support and coping style were analysis.Conclusion: FACA is very common among postgraduates; thedifferent of FACA is statistically significant between malestudents and female students, the different of FACA is stati-stically significant on birth order; the different of FACA isstatistically significant between student cadres and students;facing-audience apprehension has significantly correlationswith core self-esteem, social support and coping style;objective support,subjective support and utilization ofsupport are significantly predictors of facing audienceapprehension;positive coping style and negative coping styleare significantly predictors of facing audience apprehension.AMOS’s result proves: core self-esteem and positive copingstyle play partly intermediary role between social support andfacing-audience apprehension;negative coping style influencesfacing-audience apprehension.
