This thesis focus on Chinese experiential teaching, the background isAmerican community Chinese class. Based on the author’s teachingpractice in the American community Chinese class and the Predecessors’research on Experiential teaching, this thesis introduces the definition ofexperiential teaching, experiential teaching mode and teaching methods;combining with some popular foreign language teaching concepts, suchas, backward design, teaching as storytelling, etc. this thesis systematical-ly expounds the elements and strategies of Chinese experiential teachingdesign. Furthermore, the Chinese experiential teaching design based onbackward design is detailedly given out with an example of The summercamp in Beijing as the theme. This thesis aims to offer enlightenment forChinese teachers in teaching Chinese community class and regularChinese curriculum in America.In addition, this thesis introduces the idea of opening communityChinese courses in the United States, which provides some practicalreference of the Chinese international promotion.
