The full text is divided into three parts.The introduction part briefly describes the general direction and basic condition ofresearch on Meng Haoran’s thought.Also a simple statement of the origin of the titleand the research significance.The first chapter,discussing Meng Haoran’s thought contradiction between livinglike a hermit and working for official from the view of Mencius’ ideology "nature-fatetheory".It is divided into three sections.The first section discussed Meng Haoran’stemperament orientation from "human-nature theory",which specially unearthedwhether Meng Haoran has hermit temperament from this point of view "human-naturetheory" and then draw forth Mencius’" mind-nature discourse" to make an embeddedand detailed interpretation about Meng Haoran’s nature choose.The second section,from the Mencius "know destiny theory " perspective to understand Meng Haoran "donot actively seeking official".Including the export of "adhere to their own in a difficultposition and serve the motherland at an official position ", which the poet haschosen.The third section,giving a more reasonable understanding for poeticcontradiction between hermit and official and ultimately "without an official title inhis life" from Meng Haoran’s option of "choosing and establishing priorities".The second chapter,discussing Meng Haoran’s concept of family affections andconcept of emperors and subjects from Mencius’ thought of "kindheartedness".It isalso divided into three sections.The first section explained the definition of Mencius’"kindheartedness", after this,the second and the third section was to learn MengHaoran’s study and acceptance of Mencius’"kindheartedness" thoughtrespectively,and from the sense of "filial piety and fraternal duty" when one servesrelatives, and the sense of "the monarch and officials have righteousness" when oneallegiances to a monarch.The third chapter of discussing Meng Haoran’s philosophy of "self-cultivation"from Mencius’ thinking of "nourishing heart","nature-cultivation". It is divided intotwo sections.The first section, we try to understand the Meng Haoran’s "intendedcuhuring" from poetic "advocating the friend","few desires" and "seek the cause inoneself instead of sb. else".The second section,we try to understand the "noble spirit"which Meng Haoran has from the poet’s personality, awe inspiring ambition, andrespectable pure aspiration.
