In the process of learning Chinese of Non-native Chinese learners, they oftenmeet such a problem:They have learned a long time Chinese,Chinesecharacters, words and grammar rules have mastered a lot, however, when they meetsome oral Chinese idioms which seem so easy, they sometimes don’t know their exactmeanings. How to explain oral Chinese idioms accurately and reasonably is also a difficultproblem which troubled Chinese teaching workers a lot.Because a lot of oral Chineseidioms can’t be clearly explained by normal grammar, when asked about suchquestions, teachers sometimes take a long time to explain just a short sentence.Andthey often just use their own usual language sense,so it is easy to make inappropriateexplanation. In relevant oral Chinese teaching materials, most of them explain oral Chineseidioms by the form of"Language point understanding or notes"in order to helplearners solve problems, but oral Chinese idioms in textbooks are much less than theyare in real life.So the textbooks also have some deficiencies. The ontology research on oral Chinese idioms mainly studies thesyntax, semantics, traceability and other aspects of particular idioms. There are lessstudy on the oral Chinese idioms applied in TCSL.This paper attempts to draw on thebasis of previous studies, study the language materials in textbooks and conduct asurvey on the oral Chinese idioms’ acquisition of intermediate and advanced foreignstudents to analyse reasons why they can’t use such idioms well. Then we put forwardproposals from three aspects:teaching materials’ setting, teachers’ teaching methodsand students’ learning methods, hoping to offer beneficial help to the oral Chineseidioms’ teaching and students’ learning in the future.
