Teng Gu Art Archaeology Theory And Practice Research

As the Republic of China’s famous art historian, Teng Gu scholarly approach to thehistory of Western art, ending years of traditional forms of writing Chinese art history,marks a new transformation of Chinese art history, he is also considered the founderof modern Chinese art history. For the study of archeology Teng Gu’s art theory andpractice, including the achievement of its contribution to the theory and practice ofChinese art history and archeology, and therefore the focus of this paper is to examineTeng Gu’s research of ancient Chinese artifacts for the purpose of that by Teng Gu’scultural Relics and Archaeology. First, I will analyze how to use vision of style tore-examine the heritage, and determine the status of the art style changes; Second,in order to prove Teng Gu’s art history research methods is a kind of expansion forarcheology; Third, artifacts detailing the specific decorative patterns in Teng Guarchaeological expedition in practice, this is a study of cultural analysis methods;Fourth, analysis Teng Gu use of " Stylistics" research method introduces heritagestyle analysis and writing, with " tomb stone track in Six Dynasty " as an example todemonstrate the use of their images combine iconography and Stylistics, and "withinview" and "outward view" research methods; Fifth, research TengGu’s opracticalaspects of study, combined with his theoretical research, in order to compensate forthe inadequacies of the image of previous studies,I will use the history of Western artin the iconography and Stylistics methods applied to archaeological practice, and withsome criticism, in a way to promote the modern Transformation of Chinese art andarcheology. As Teng Gu is not a professional archaeological, although he madefor a particular area of the archaeological record type, and have their ownopinion, but on a professional point of view, his archaeological methods, techniques,experiences, and so on is slightly lacking, there are some certain limitations.
