Rhetorical question is frequently used in spoken Chinese. In previous studies, scholars have researched widely the semantic and pragmatic functions of this area. However, it always focused on the question section of the conversational structure. Relatively, it is very few to study the rhetorical questions as the answer parts.Because the answer is also an important part of the session structure, so the author thinks it is not so sufficient to study the RQ just as the question composition. Different rhetorical answers have the different ways to express the linguistic action. Moreover, the rhetorical response mode of the same structures in different contexts has different discourse functions, these problems need to be studied. Therefore, in this paper, we use the corpus of spoken Chinese to help analyzing the structure, semantic and pragmatic meanings of the RQ as a response to the cause language, which is about2,600,000. It is also used to explain this phenomenon by science, session structure theory.However,rhetorical questions language,namely:a rhetorical question as,this linguistic phenomenon (non-interrogative questions here in the narrow sense,but rather lead to generalized language category),was ignored.Moreover, It is not enough for just studying the rhetorical questions in the question answering system, because the answer is also an important part of the conversation language structure.In the same semantic pragmatic premise, you could use declarative sentence as a response,but actually you use the RQ.It is not convinced for the students that just emphasizing the role;.Firstly, we review the previous works for the RQ, On this basis, we classify the RQ sentences which appear in the outline of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. And then, using the spoken Chinese corpora to analyze the semantic and pragmatic functions.At last, we come to the conclusion, that is when the rhetorical questions are used as the response part, it does not seem contrary to "the principles of cooperation"using the rhetorical language as a response,however It is the essence to be sure the smooth communication activities.For the talker,to use the rhetorical language as a response is the purpose of the speaker.And it is affected by context, pragmatics and other effects caused by language and constraints. Finally, the author choose the answering of more than10%of the corpus as a study object,and choose the learners of advanced level as the test subjects to understand how the students study the acquisition of the knowledge and analyze the situation in order to put forward countermeasures and suggestions for teaching.
