Rhetorical question is a special sentence in Chinese, which is widely used in every field of Chinese daily life. Great progress has achieved on researches of rhetorical questions and researchers study it from different perspectives, includingrhetorical question itself and rhetorical questions in Foreign Chinese Language Teaching (TCSL) etc.This study focuses on textbook choreography of TCSL. To make the study comprehensive, wefirst examine the usage of rhetorical questions in the Chinese dailylife, and then review the Foreign Language Teaching syllabus rhetorical arrangement. Based ontextbook series of "the development of Chinese" (editor Li Quan, Beijing Language and Culture University Press, second edition) for the study of rhetorical textbooks choreography, we conduct thestudysystematically.In this paper, we conduct statistical analysis on speaking, listening, reading, writing textbooks rhetorical based on three junior high-level synthesis, including the class-based textbooks rhetorical question of quantity, type, annotation, listen, practice methods and compare with daily life in common rhetorical question types and Foreign Language syllabus. We also study the rhetorical syntax items laterally with the case in the series of textbooks, teaching materials and then find some Communist rules and problems to teaching materials in the preparation of such rhetorical syntax items to provide some suggestions. Finally, we study the shortcomings on systematicness and fitness in terms of language teaching grammars setting in textbooks. All of these researches provide a reference for future scheduling Foreign Language Textbook Series grammars. The paper consists of six parts:Chapter One is Introduction. The main content of this part is to discuss practical significance of the topic, indicating research framework and methodology of the study. Andwe also conduct systematic collation, classification and brief comments on related researches.Chapter Two focuses on rhetorical questions to summarize and analyze rhetorical questions themselves, including definition, classification, pragmatic functions of rhetorical questionsin three aspects, with the reference of academic research on the rhetorical questions.Chapter Three analyzes daily uses of rhetorical questions in China with the example of ’Good times of wife’. We make pragmatic analysis, classify, sort the data and make conclusions about commonly used types of rhetorical questionsin Chinese daily life and theircommonly used functions.Chapter Four mainly analyzes rhetorical questions in several syllabuses. With three Foreign Language syllabusesthat are more authoritatively recognized by more scholars, I study rhetorical programmatic documents in foreign language teaching and teaching position and arrangements. By analysis and comparisons among the three syllabuses, themore comprehensivesyllabusis selected toprovide the basis for the following analysis.Chapter Five Arrangement of rhetorical questions in textbook series of ’Development of Chinese language’. First, based on the numbers, types, annotate sentences, practice methods, longitudinal re-occurrence of rhetorical questions, a comprehensive study is conducted in the Integrated Textbook of rhetorical questions. Second, attentions are paid on analyzing the coordination in rhetorical questions between specialized type materials and Integrated Textbooks to explore the systematicness and shortcomings of textbook series.Chapter Six mainly Suggess on textbooks and syllabuses compilation about rhetorical questions.On the bases of researches on textbooks and the conclusions of previous sections, in reference to the daily life of Chinese people commonly used type of rhetorical and pragmatic functions, there are some recommendations on the compilationsof textbooks and syllabuses. At the same time,referring to the rhetorical syntax items in the series of textbooks,I put forward some suggestions.Finally, the paper conducts a summary pointing out the shortcomings and where we can further develop the study.
