Mao Dun has been hailed as a "social analysis school" writer in the history of modern Chinese literature, how to choice the road of the changing Chinese social, is his concern.His novels can be said to have been around the "Chinese problem", this is not only reflected in the novels of Mao Dun directly involved in the debate of social reality and historical issues, and deeper in he is always thinking around two space structure of the "city" and"village".Both the novel phase analysis and overall understanding, we discover that,a certain "Urban—Rural Structure" has always existed,and been mature with the consideration and acceptance of the Marx doctrine of Mao Dun.and with Mao Dun for the consideration and acceptance of the Marx doctrine and the maturity.In this paper,Mao Dun’s novels of1927to1942will be divided into three stages,through careful reading of each stage representative novels, analysis he is how to build its behind "city" and "village" structure by different background, characters, plot and the social relations,then reflects the Chinese status and the Chinese problems of different stages of Mao Dun’s attention.Finally,readers can hold he is how to rospond the problem Chinese road when personal experience has caused ideological changes.This thesis consists of three parts. Chapter One,analyzes the description of the fate of the intellectuals in revolution in Erosion and Rainbow,to reveal his consciousness or unconsciousness of "city" and "village" structure,give the credit to the influence by volution.Chapter Two, through the Midnight, Lin’s store "and Rural Trilogy analysis, explain that In the impact of the Marx doctrine,he consciously constructs "Urban—Rural Structure" from the political economy perspective in his novel, understanding the Chinese problem in this structure. Chapter Three,employing the rural and urban structure though the differentiation of the squire class in leaves be red like February flower,the squire’s fall and the collapse of society completely break the urban-rural structure of Chinese inherent,a new revolution is coming.By This, he reflected China revolutionary historical attitude towards of the gentry, and isolated the spirit it needs of the new society.
