The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among self-worth、emotion regulation and mental health. A sample of251undergraduates was administrated with "Adolescent Self-esteem Scale","Emotions and Regulation Questionnaire","Mental Health Questionnaire"(UPI). Statistical analysis was used to measure the relationship structure of the three variables above. And the mediating effect of Emotion Regulation between the others. After the statistical analysis, it shows:Male college students were higher than female college students on the level of self-esteem (Mm=201, Mf=203, t=.43, p<.01); The male college students ability of emotional sense and regulation were higher than female college students (Mm=36.28, Mf=35.97, t=.399, p<.01; The level of mental health of female college student was higher than male college students (Mm=104.4, Mf=101.6, t=.835, p<.01)There was a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and self-esteem; the mental health has a significant positive correlation with self-esteem; There was a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and mental health.Both self-esteem and emotional regulation could predict the status of mental health.Self-esteem had a direct impact on mental health, the emotional intelligence served as partial mediators in the relation between self-esteem and mental health, and the mediating effect was0.588.. The different types of self-esteem had differences on the level of emotion intelligence and mental health.
