"Chinese Dictionary" consists of twelve volumes, including20,000characters,340,000items ofwords, more than two thousand pieces of illustrations."Chinese Dictionary" is rich in content relating tothe society,customs, culture and other perspectives. The containing words are complete in style, fine intextual research, clear and correct in interpretation. It is one of the highest levels of the language tool.As a large high-quality language reference book,"Chinese Dictionary" has been highly valued byacademia since its first publication. The community reacted strongly. It also has brought greatconvenience to our study and research. It is an unprecedented dictionary, but also the last large Chineselanguage dictionary which is wrote by pen, with handmade cards and type typography."Chinese Dictionary" has mistakes inevitably due to substance and technical conditions, as wellas various subjective consciousness and objective historical factors in the process."Chinese Dictionary"exposed more and more problems especially with the in-depth study of the Chinese language, theestablishment of large electronic databases and constantly explore new corpus.
