| Objectives:Scientific technique is not only the first factor of the present social productive force but also the primary force to the social reforms, and it brings the increasing financial wealth and lots of spiritual treasures to human kind, greatly leading the society to the financial and cultural progress. However, it has a series of negative effects over the environment we depend on. Scientific technique is a double-edged sword, and the problem it causes has attracted wild attention among the public, especially in the field of genetically modified technology.The rapid development of the genetically modified technology on one hand reflects people’s eager for a better life, on the other hand generates a series of ethical problems related to human kind and the social development. This paper attempts to explore the environmental ethics problems caused by the genetically modified technology to seek strategies and approaches to address these risksMethods:Literature Research:The main access of getting relevant information is searching from CNK1knowledge network service platform, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, VIP information and other databases, which can help to understand ethical debate raised by GM technology at home and abroad and the current status of the latest research and development trend in the field of environmental ethics.Case Study Method:Through selecting typical cases involved in the opinion of GM technology at home and abroad and extensivesly collecting systematic relevant information aiming at special events, we can think and analysis systematically.Comprehensive Analysis:This paper analyses the theories and other advantages of practice of the factions by quoting eastern and western environmental ethics theory and puts forward some principles in the development of GM technology using the related theory in marxist philosophy with comprehensive analysis method. Results:The current paper is divided into four parts to address the issue. The first part is about the research background and significances of this paper, the research status of environmental ethics and genetically modified technology as well as the research thinking and methods. The second part concentrates on the related knowledge of environmental ethics and genetically modified technology. In the third part, it’s about the disputes between genetically modified technology and environmental ethical issues that include the attitudes towards nature, animal welfare, ecological balance and global environmental governances etc. Fourthly, from the theory of environmental ethics, it draws conclusions that when people recognize and develop genetically modified technology, they must adhere to the principles of subjects-central, respect for nature and justice. What’s more, holding a global vision of holism is also indispensable.Conclusion:The human’s attitudes toward technologies imply their attitudes to the nature. Similarly,human’s thinking of environmental ethics induced by genetically modified technology is the reflection on the nature and their self-positioning. If people recognize genetically modified technology objectively and fully and use them properly, it will be conducive to the development of human being and human society as well as the nature and thus lead to a green era of "To Protect Nature, To Adore Nature, and To Promote Sustainable Development". |
