The marked contracted sentences are supposed to be related with quantity category,while the state of existence and functions of quantity varies in different structures. Thecontracted sentences function as the carrier for the semantic relationships, while thesyntax obligatory will take effect. It’s an interactive process between semantic and syntax.The paper aims to discover the psychological reality of contracted sentences, then thequantitative change schema will be concluded, while all the quantity change schema willbe applied in “Construction-Chunk Approach”.The origin of the topic, the object of research, the methodology as well the corpusused in the research were introduced in the preface, then the review and briefintroduction of the research results related with quantity category were elaborated, theacquisition researches on contracted sentences were also referred in this part, while thereview for the “Construction-Chunk Approach” were included in this part.As the main part of the paper, the Chapter2classified the eight marked contractedsentences in the Grammar Grades Syllabus into four types:“Yi(一)...Jiu(就)...”,“Ye(也)...” sentences (“Verb+interrogative pronoun+Ye(也)”,“Zai(再)...Ye(也)...”);Variation Sentences (“Yu(e越)...yu(e越)...”,“Yu(shi()愈(是))...Yu(shi()愈(是))...”);Verb Repetition Sentences (“...Verb1+Dou bu(mei)(都不(没))...Verb1”,“...Verb1+Jiu(就)+Verb1, Bie(Beng)(别(甭))...”,“...Verb1+jiu(就)+Verb1+Ge(个)+Comp”),then the sentences were analyzed from the aspect of quantity category, while thequantitative change schemas were concluded in the end of each part.The Chapter3conducted the teaching research based on the quantity analysis ofmarked contracted sentences, and cut the constructions into chunks according to theteaching process of “Construction-Chunk Approach” by integrating the“Construction-Chunk Approach” and the research results of quantity category analysis,the whole operation process said above aimed to provide research resources which couldbe directly applied in teaching Chinese to the speakers of other languages..The paper ended with some possible research topics and future expectations, such asthe subjectivity research, the complexification of sentences.
