| With the schematic construction indicating subjective maximum in modern Chinese as object,comprehensive view of language"humanism" as guide.and construction grammar,functional grammar,semantic grammar,subjectivity and subjectification,grammar and rhetoric interconnection as theoretical basis,this paper systematically explores construct mechanism of numerous schema structures,semantic expression and pragmatic function and generating motivation and some other issues in modern Chinese,and makes a positive attempt at the systematic study and the motivation study of a certain type of construction in modern Chinese.In addition to the introduction,the full text is divided into eight chapters in accordance with general-to-specific order.The first chapter and the second chapter belong to the general study.The chapters from the third to the eighth belong to the case study.The cases discussed mainly include:1)the Difference Comparison Schematic Construction with the Same Elements"X? N ? N";2)the Modified Schema Construction with the Same Elements"N ?? N ";3)the Tighten and Change Schema Construction”?? X ?? M+H,????"The first chapter discusses the relationship between the schema construction and the maximal subjective expression.This chapter firstly makes it clear that the schema construction is a kind of "Frame Marker"composed of a constant frame and a variable component.This schema construction can allow more than one instance and it's structural semantics has certain conventionality.Then this paper deals with the related issues from the perspective of interconnection between grammar and rhetoric,and concludes that these subjective maximal schematic constructions are distributed in the continuum of "grammatical constructions-rhetorical constructions ",showing varying degrees of grammar and rhetoric.The construction semantics comes from the combination of grammar and rhetoric.Finally,this chapter focuses on the schematic expression of subjective,holding that schema construction is an important means of subjective maximal expression in modern Chinese and the meaning mechanism is based on the the category structure,which can be operated by the filling of the components.The second chapter carries out a multi-dimensional study on subjective maximal schema construction based on the comprehensive theory of Construction Grammar.This chapter firstly summarizes the comprehensive theory of Construction Grammar,emphasizing the interaction between syntax,semantics and pragmatics.Then this chapter explores the construction mechanism,semantic expression and pragmatic functions of the subjective maximal schema construction.On the construction mechanism,the paper analyzes the types of construction and the mechanism of "the category of schema".On the semantic expression,the paper divides it into eight types and makes systematic analysis and illustration.On the pragmatic function,the paper gives an insight into the problems of the distribution of context,discourse function,pragmatic adaptation and subjective evaluation.The third chapter mainly studies the Difference Comparison Schematic Construction with the Same Elements" ? X ? X".In this chapter,the construction features,semantic representation and semantic representation of this kind of construction are discussed in detail.It is found that,as the comparison result is the same as the object of comparison,this construction has strong subjective evaluation,optimization of the comparison object and cognitive nature of the comparing results.Rhetoric and variability are only superficial phenomena,and on the latent level,this construction contains the human specific cognitive function.The subjective cognitive evaluation,comparative object typicality,similarity between the subject and the object,metonymy,cognitive enhancement of compare results,pragmatic inference in violation of cooperative principle and other factors jointly contribute to the generation and prevalence of the"?X?X".The fourth chapter deals with the Modified Schema Construction with the Same Elements"X?? X".This chapter mainly discusses the characteristics of schematic construction,the generation mechanism of maximal subjective meaning,context dependence and function expansion of the "X ?? X",together with other overlapping expression structures with same elements are discussed.First,the "X" in this construction needs to accept limits from syllable form and semantic conditions.Second,the subjective maximal meaning the product of interaction of constructional meaning assignment,cognitive processing and the last "X" meaning maximum.Third,the context on which the type of construction depends has certain general characteristics,such as affirmative evaluation,the name of the label,and the use of many models.Fourth,the repetition modification is accompanied with the subjective maximum and the exaggeration evaluation.The fifth chapter focuses on the Tighten and Change Schema Construction "??X ?? X",probing into the mold frame and embedding component,tightening/changing and maximal expression,discourse organization and emotional reinforcement."?? X ?? X" is a kind of compact structure concerning its form,and formal compact generalization provides a conventional carrier for its semantic representation and case derivation.Concerning its semantic expression,structural semantics has a variable interaction relationship,and the reality of"??X" depends on the willingness of "?? X".That the subjective intention determines the reality can provide a semantic foundation with " idealism" for subjective maximal expression,leading to highly exaggerated semantic expression.The sixth chapter is on the Metaphorical Complementary Schema Construction "A/V+C+(?)”,with an emphasis on the construction and operation of this kind of construction.Firstly,the cross-domain mapping from the generalized end in the concrete domain to the subjective maximal degree in the abstract domain is the constructional mechanism of the subjective maximal complementary structure.Secondly,in the degree syntactic environment before and after the core predicate,complement is better than adverbial in the expression of maximal degree.Thirdly,following the "association marked patterns",the operation of this subjective maximal complementary structure shows strong negative rejection.Finally,in order to compensate for the degree of wearing,de-routinization has become the important reason for its expansion.The seventh chapter deals with the Cross Domain Analogy Schema Construction"X(?)Y".In this chapter,we explore the semantic domain types,cognitive motivation and semantic representation of this construction.It is found that,"X(?)Y"is an extreme evaluation expression in Chinese which can be connected to a variety of semantically feature-defined domains.The mechanism and the generative condition of its construction can be described as the category misplaced and the demonstration of the dual-domain characteristics respectively.Also,the generalization of the properties of the source domain is the motivation of the variety of the semantic transformation.It is suggested that the extreme evaluation is shared by all constructions in this type of semantic expressions.It results from construction semantics,limited conduction and the aid of context.In the eighth chapter,the research object is”? M+H,????" is a new kind of subjective maximal constructions.The structure is constructed by the negation of the meta language,with the purpose of curing and highlighting the polarity equivalent relationship between the evaluation object and the statement object.The maximal subjective meaning is caused by the interaction of constructional framework,embedding component and context factors.In terms of structural properties,this structure is a kind of rhetorical structure which is generated by special treatment,and it is characterized by the construction mechanism,the characteristics and the specific application.Network context,form and cultural meaning endowed this kind of structure with advantage of popularity and the wide spreading,to meet the extreme emotional appeal of internet users.In conclusion,schema construction has become a typical pattern of subjective quantity expression in modern Chinese.The comprehensive construction grammar theory with humanism has a strong explanatory power to the expression.Syntactic variation and processing,semantic appreciation and transfer,pragmatic adjustment and adaptation can be fully and scientifically interpreted from the perspective of schema construction. |
