Appellation is an indispensable content in our daily communication.Whether appropriate or not,appellation will directly affect the communication process and effect.Chinese appellation system is one of the most complex systems in the world and the most important part of Chinese vocabulary teaching.There is no doubt that the appellation is one of the key and difficult points in teaching during the process of the second language learning,Textbook for teaching Chinese as a foreign language is not only the basis of Chinese teaching,but also the main medium for learners to learn Chinese.The quality of teaching materials directly affect the quality of teaching and learning.Any comprehensive teaching material for teaching Chinese as a foreign language should include the content of the appellation teaching.However,the appellation vocabulary arrangement in the Chinese textbooks which can be read at present is still not satisfactory,which brings a lot of obstacles in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The paper takes the appellation of Hanyu Jiaocheng textbooks(a total of three volumes,six books)written by Yang Jizhou as the object of research.It also adds up all appellations and analyzes the occurrent frequency,the form and annotation style of the appellations in Hanyu Jiaocheng textbooks.Compared with the outline of HSK,the paper will point out the problems of compiling appellations and give some suggestions about this,hoping to provide elicitation for compiling materials of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and Chinese vocabulary teaching.
