Reading is one of the four basic language skills, and reading classes, which belongs to the special skills training, is a basic type of language teaching. In recent years, there emerged a lot of excellent Chinese class teaching design, which are mainly in intensive reading. Currently the focus in Chinese teaching industry is on the study of intensive reading course. This is partly because of the debating about the status and role of fast reading training, on the other hand, because the number of application of fast reading training class is few. So at present, the research and teaching design of Chinese fast reading is rare and little.This article start from the perspective of intermediate Chinese fast reading, combined the research about the design of class teaching, mainly probes into the training methods of reading skills, and takes the text "hooky day" as an example. The whole design divided into five parts. The first part is the background and significance of the research, and the summary of the predecessors’research. The second part introduces the features of fast reading class, the teaching principle, the existing problems and difficulties of teaching, as well as some reading skills. The third part is the analysis the teaching content, teaching object and teaching target, and lists the teaching case. The fourth part is about the design of the teaching process, which is equipped with a detailed interpretation. The fifth part is combined with the feedback of students and teachers, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of teaching design, and puts forward some solving countermeasures. I hope this teaching design case could improve the emphasis of teachers and scholars on reading skills training, improve the proportion of reading skills training in class teaching, explore the possible problems in intermediate Chinese fast reading class, and to find the practical solutions.
