The new thoughts and scientificbasis for preventing from overuse handset could be got by this study.MethodsAll of1500students of four high-schools in Luoyang area of Henan province arethe researching objects. To take the methods combine layered random sampling andoverall sampling phase. The extractions which are from high-school students takequestionnaire investigation. Investigation contents include basic situation ofhigh-school students handset using, and the handset dependence volume table ofhigh-school students, and PSQI, and ESS, and the stress source volume table ofhigh-school students, and the psychological health volume table of high-schoolstudents. The questionnaires take secret ballot to fill out, and they were issued andreclaimed uniformly.Results1. Basic statistics of high-school students handset using. The effective rate ofquestionnaires is93.73%. The penetration rate of handset is96.4%. The average scoreof handset dependence is32.86±10.67, and the lowest score is16, and the highestscore is80. There are differences on the situation of handset using. There aredifferences between boys and girls on the time of handset using, handset traffic andbill monthly, time which using handset at night before sleeping and days which usinghandset at night before sleeping in a week. They have statistical significance(P<0.01).2. The relationship between handset dependence and Demographic variables.The detection rate of handset dependence is8.27%, including62boys and49girls.There are statistical significance on the gender(P<0.01). The differences have statistical significance on the educational style of parents(P<0.01). Longer thestudents use, the more serious handset dependence is. The differences betweenvarious dimensions of handset dependence have statistical significance on the gradeand time to start using handset.3. Sleep quality and daytime sleepiness. Sleep disorders group of high schoolstudents detection rate is29.2%. Daytime sleepiness detection rate is31.8%. Thedifferences of PSQI total scores on the gender and school types have statisticalsignificance (P<0.05,P<0.01). The PSQI scores of handset dependence groups are7.19±2.20and handset non-dependence groups are6.21±2.24. The differences havestatistical significance(P<0.01). The ESS scores of handset dependence groups are10.64±3.95and handset non-dependence groups are8.50±4.11. There areremarkable differences (P<0.01). The differences have statistical significance(P<0.01).4. The handset dependence has the relationship with sleep quality andpsychological health. The handset dependence total score and the various dimensionsof PSQI total score, the various dimensions of high-school students stress source, andthe various dimensions of psychological health score have statistical significance(P<0.01). According the multi-dimensional gradually regression analysis, wediscover the PSQI, ESS, stress source and psychological health have the remarkableforward forecast function to the handset dependence (P<0.001, P<0.01). The teacherstress, depression and learning pressure have the strongest forecast function to thehandset dependence.Conclusions1. The relevance ratio of high-school students handset dependence is8.27%. Theinfluence factors of handset dependence include gender, type of school, time to startusing handset, monthly handset bill and traffic, and educational style of parents.2. The relationship exists between high-school students handset dependence andsleep quality and daytime sleepiness. The more serious handset dependence is, poorersleep quality is, and more significantly daytime sleepiness is. To assess the situationof handset dependence can predicate the sleep quality in a certain extent. 3.3. The relationship exists between high-school students handset dependenceand stressors and psychological health. The more serious handset dependence is, themore serious stressors and psychological health problems are.
