A Report On The Translation Of Environmental Conflict-in Search Of Common Ground·Chapter3

The material for this translation report is the third chapter excerpted from a book titled Environmental Conflict----In Search of Common Ground, in which the main reasons for environmental damage are analyzed, i.e. the public’s overuse of common resources caused by government initiatives and various subsidies etc. Besides, solutions are proposed here. This chapter gives readers a totally new and unique perspective by combining the environmental problems with relevant knowledge in economics. The material selected has much translation value and is of great practical significance because the language in the chapter is relatively formal and rigorous, where there is no shortage of long and difficult sentences and proper nouns of all kinds, in addition, quite a few terms in economics are involved.This translation report falls into four main parts: task description, translation procedures, case study and summary.
