In recent years, learning Chinese as a second language has gained huge popularityaround the world, a phenomenon that has been described as “Chinese learning heat”by Sinologists. The global rising enthusiasm for learning Chinese has made Chineseeducation a popular profession. Central to this profession is the language teachingmethodology. Within methodology, the common goal is to enhance both effectivenessand efficiency in language teaching. A number of related articles have expressed theopinion that making teaching enjoyable and effective are the two basic principles thatteachers ought to follow for better teaching results.The paper concentrates on teaching Chinese as a foreign language with the gameteaching method discussed, mainly divides into five parts.The first part is an introduction, mainly elaborated the writing background, thereality of teaching Chinese as a foreign language as well as the existing problems inthe teaching process and the functional game teaching method itself. Based on theabove situation shows that in the Chinese as a foreign language classroom in thenecessity and feasibility of using game teaching method.The second part is about the comprehensive overview of the game teachingmethod. First traces from the time the game teaching in the Chinese and westerneducation. Second game teaching method in our country is briefly introduced adevelopment course and current situation as well as the general meaning of the gameteaching method. Then the game teaching method was introduced in detail the threecharacteristics of fun, interactive and communicative. Finally, the game teachingmethod should follow the basic principles of.The third part is the practical application of game teaching method in Chinese asa foreign language classroom. In the practical teaching should be how to better designthe game, how to classify the game according to different standards. Based on thelearner’s Chinese language level and the classification of the game for the specificcourse content and lists the details of the name of the game, process and purpose. Thefourth part is the game teaching method the limitations of the teaching effect of reflection and game teaching method. Illustrate the teachers in the process oforganizing game teaching should pay attention to the problems and reflections afterthe end of the game, through a simple review of thinking the game whether auxiliaryteaching, achieve the teaching purpose.The fifth part is the conclusion part, mainly for the summary and outlook for thefuture of the game teaching method.
