Intermediate Chinese teaching is generated from Basic Chineseteaching, and prepares and sets the stage for the advanced Chineseteaching. Intermediate oral Chinese teaching is aimed at promoting theability of communication, centered at the communicative skills. But it ismore than the simple language skill training. It is the training on verbalcommunication. To finish the task of intermediate Chinese teaching, thecourse offering of intermediate oral Chinese teaching fits in with thecharacteristics of middle level students. Inquiry teaching can positivelymake a real communicative environment for the oral class,comprehensively train the language skills like listening, speaking, readingand writing, master and freely use the language points the studentslearned on the basis of their original work, thus they can effectivelyachieve the teaching aims to cultivate the Chinese ability at middle level.This research mainly adopts methods like Action research, interviewand observation. Inquiry teaching activities can effectively train andcultivate verbal communication skills to help students apply Chinese totheir communication in a true scene. These teaching activities can alsoextend the class teaching to the world out of class to motivate students tosettle a certain problem in reality and express actively. In this process,more cooperative chances are provided to students and theircomprehensive abilities and creativity are cultivated too.
