The Reseach Of Unstandardized Variant Of Chinese Characters Selected From Dunhuang Literature In Peking University Library

At present, the reseach about Dunhuang literature in Peking University library is still in the initial stage. The related thesis mainly focused on the literature sorting, fragmentation, HuiGu text translation and other aspects. There is no special study of the unstandardized variant chinese characters. This article mainly analyzes the unstandardized variant chinese characters in the published Dunhuang literature in Peking University library. In this paper, we use exhaustive approaches compiled the unstandardized variant chinese characters. We try to determine the standardized forms on the basis of Chinese character component analysis, inductive analogy, examination of meaning and oher methods. We also refer to some dictionaries, such as Ganlu Zishu,Yupian,Dunhuang Suzidian. We make a systematic study, which maintain four parts:the first part is to divide these unstandardized variant chinese characters into eight classes on the basis of the previous theoretical studies, and supplemented an example for each classes; the second part is to analyze the component mixture and diverse word forms, according to the pronunciation, significance and the character pattern; the third part is to explore the theoretical analysis, and analyze whether the unstandardized variant chinese characters keep theoretical analysis or not; The fourth part is to distinguish and analyze some difficult characters in manuscripts. Finally, we summarize the reason, characteristic and significance of the unstandardized variant chinese characters fond in Dunhuang literature in Peking University library.
