The Study Is The Function Words System Of The Great Chinese Dictionary

The Great Chinese Dictionary is large reference book which isincluded the largest number of words. And it is also landmark in Chinesedictionaries. It has a very important research value. Many experts andscholars researched about that the function less than content words. Butthey are not enough attention to the systematic research of function words.In this paper, we will systematically sorting the function words in theGreat Chinese Dictionary.We will take the single syllable function words as the research object.The scope of research is five hundred and eighty-eight function wordsthat have been marked parts of speech. We have first divided intopronouns, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, auxiliary word, modalparticles, interjection and affix. And then, to further divide the eight kindsof the function word. On the basis the systemic of function words, we useit analysis the appropriate of the parts of speech division, and the defectof the number of the function words.From the perspective of dictionary,we make the following analysis:Point out the part of speech tagging problems of function words; Pointsout that the problems of function words meanings; Points out theproblems existing in the function definition; Points out the problems ofthe documentary evidence; Points out the problems that arranged tofunction words in the dictionary.The paper is to construct a system of function words and solve theproblem of function words. And these are my opinions. To draw theattention of scholars, and further insight into the Great ChineseDictionary, we should dedicate to the improvement of the dictionary.
