As one of the significant connecting bridges and bonds, interpretation has beenplaying an important role in the exchange of international politics, economy, science,culture and other sectors. With the continuing China open process, the business contactsand corporations are more and more frequent. In this case, English interpretation isgetting more and more attentions, along with which, the problems during the Englishinterpreting are exposed.This report points out the problems from both the interpretation perspective andnon-interpretation perspective, on the basis of the analysis of the organizing, executingand reviewing of the simulated interpretation practice of the State of the Union of theUnited States.To be specific, this report is made up of three parts:The first part is introduction. It mainly makes a conclusion of the previousinterpreting studies and points out the practical value and meaning of this thesis.The second part is the body of this thesis which consists of three chapters:The first chapter gives a brief introduction of the background of this simulatedinterpretation, the demands of the customer and the analysis of the essence to the task.The second chapter makes a specific analysis to the preparation and the execution ofinterpreting plan and contingency plan along with the reviews of the client.The third chapter covers problems and difficulties both from the interpretation andnon-interpretation perspectives. The non-interpretation problems cover the preparation ofthe organization of this practice and its deficiencies, the contingencies and status ofhandling it. The interpretation perspective mainly focuses on the cultural differencesdecide the differences of the interpretation and coping skills. Due to the culturaldifferences, the expression for some English words should be adjusted in Chinese toconvey the original meaning. For the different country context, the interpretation shouldbe reconsidered in case of improper or offensive interpretation. Except that, thecorrelation between sentences is quite different between the English and Chinese cultures,which require special attention. After the analysis of the interpretation difficulties, thecorresponding coping strategies are given with cases and advantages analysis. The last part is conclusion. In the part, it includes the reviews of the whole taskincluding both the contribution of this thesis to the study of the E-C consecutiveinterpretation and the limitation of this thesis. This thesis aims to make a contribution andsome guiding advice to the readers, especially the student interpreters.
