The original material of the interpretation project is 2017 Adobe Max:Accelerating Your Creativzities,a technology conference from the official website of Adobe company involving abundant prepositional phrases with information of high density, which leads to cognitive overloading in information memorizing and processing.Accordingly, the author addresses two difficulties with four specific kinds:Overloading in preposition phrases simultaneous interpreting(SI)as nexus segmentations, including interpreting difficulties from preposition phrases as attributes and as adverbials;Overloading in prepositional phrases SI by syntactic linearity, including difficulties of logic identification in head words with multiple prepositional phrases and of logic restructuring between prepositional phrases and the main clauses. The working memory is the fundamental memory resource for simultaneous interpretation with its significant role in source language listening and analyzing, information memorizing and processing, sense making, target language producing and multitask coordination. On the basis of information processing procedures in working memory, four coping tactics are presented to tackle the difficulties in cognitive overloading in prepositional phrases SI:(1)Verbalization:prepositional phrases as attributives can be interpreted into verb phrases;(2)Repetition:prepositional phrases as adverbials can be presented by repeating synonyms;(3)Echoing:head words with various prepositional phrases can be interpreted with demonstrative phrases to identify the logic;(4)Addition:prepositional phrases in complex logic relation can be reassembled by adding logic structures to rebuild its logic relation with main clauses. The study indicates that the efficient information processing with aforementioned coping tactics in working memory is of significance in SI in terms of controlling cognitive overloading and producing the target discourse successfully. In addition, tactics presented in this report can serve as a reference for other technology talks, conferences and courses of the same kind.
