This paper discusses the practical application problems of instructional designtheory for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language which applied in Chineseclassroom in Thailand. Including how to apply these theories to find out theinstructional needs、instructional content and the student’s situation, and how tochoose the appropriate teaching skills and teaching methods according to this resultsof the research, as well as how to choose the appropriate techniques and equipment.Based on the background of Chinese teaching in Thailand, this paper makes afoundation of the experience of mine. And it will explain how to make our teachingactivities better to achieve the desired effectiveness, according to understand thestudents and make the instructional design.Meanwhile, we use the instructional design theory of teaching Chinese as foreignlanguage, the theory of second language acquisition, and the constructivist theory asthe basic theory to discuss the teachers how to use the appropriate teaching method toguide their teaching activities. In the end of this paper takes the task-based teachingmethods for example to design classroom activities to explore the implementation ofthis teaching specific classroom and teaching effectiveness evaluation.In the process of data collection, I found that most of the current domesticacademics research about the instructional design theory of teaching Chinese asforeign language focus on the theoretical basis. It’s lack of the research of how to usethis theory in practice in Thailand. And the researches on Chinese teaching inThailand are more concentrated in the Thai educational environment and teachingmethods. This paper discusses the real teaching examples to explained how to useinstructional theory to guide our Chinese teaching in the Thailand, and wish that it cangive some help for the TCFL workers and researchers.
