Since the21stcentury, the domestic economy has been impacted by the increasinginternational environment. Chinese people pay more attention to the externalenvironment for national economic development. More and more people are beginningto obtain trends and developments of world economic and monetary policy throughmajor international conferences. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) held a "WorldEconomic Outlook" press conference on October8,2013. Conference speakers areOlivier Blanchard, Economic Counsellor and Director of the Research Department, J rgDecressin, Deputy Director of the Research Department, Thomas Helbling, Chief of theWorld Economic Outlook Division Rupa Duttagupta the Deputy Chief of the WorldEconomic Outlook Division, and IMF spokesman Conny Lotze. During the conference,the IMF spokesmen overview the overall economic situation in2013, and analysis andforecast the economic situation in2014. The author sight interpreted the wholeconference from English to Chinese (E-C) as simulation practice, and then analyzed theproblems encountered in the process to put forward reasonable and feasible approaches.This paper plans to study the application of the conversion of sentence componentsin sight interpretation combining the simulation practice under the principal of syntacticlinearity and put forward specific problems solving by the technic of conversion ofsentence components in sight interpretation. The detailed application of the technic ofconversion of sentence components in this study were divided into five parts, includingthe interconversion of subject, predicate, object, attribute and adverbial and illustrateeach with examples. Through this practice, the author was more familiar with theapplication of the technique of the conversion of sentence components in sightinterpretation, which will be of great help to the practical ability in the future.Meanwhile, the conclusion of this report is expected to provide reference to the study ofsimultaneous interpretation with text.
