A Report On The Simulation Sight Interpretation For 2017 Global Aquaculture Alliance China Marketplace Forum

Today,the seafood market of China has become one of the largest and most important markets in the world.Customers widely believe that the problems of food quality and safety have become very serious.Therefore,it is crucial to ensure the sustainability and safety of aquaculture.On November first,2017,the Global Aquaculture Alliance(GAA)China Marketplace Forum was held in Qingdao International Exposition Center.The conference focuses on the sustainable development,food safety and traceability of aquatic product supply chain,and intends to gather outstanding purchasing decision-makers from Chinese aquatic food markets to exchange the challenges and opportunities in the procurement and sales of aquatic products.It is a pity that most of the spokespersons in this conference held speech drafts or presented their speeches on PPT,so there were no interpreters on site for interpretation,which seriously affected the information transmission of the meeting and the exchange of information among participants,making the meeting far less valuable.The development of the aquaculture industry and the access to international market of Chinese seafood require outstanding interpreters to introduce our status of development to the world and bring in the latest international development patterns in.Therefore,the author conducted a simulated sight interpreting practice based on this conference.This report analyzes and summarizes this practice from the perspectives of the introduction to the sight interpretation process,theory instruction,case analysis and the review of this practice.Through this practice,the author's interpreting capability has been tested and some problems have been found.Therefore,in the future,the author should continue to strengthen English knowledge and enrich encyclopedic knowledge,and forge a better psychological quality.The author hope that this sight interpretation practice will offer some reference to encourage the interpreting service for the better exchanges between China's aquaculture and seafood market and the international market.It is also hoped that the issues analyzed in this report can provide some guidance for the beginners in their interpreting jobs.
