A Translation Report On China’s New Diplomatic Concept

As one of the vital factors, loan helps countries to support the steady economicgrowth and affects every aspect of social development profoundly. Reasonable loanscould help the companies’ rapid development in their infancy, help enterprises whichin difficult economic cycle reverse the financial statues, as well as help individuals tomeet the current capital needs, such as long-term installment loans and short-termconsumer loans. However, banks’ credit approval mechanism of our country is notperfect enough at present, even under the jointly regulation of People’s Bank ofChina and China Banking Regulatory Commission, some bad assets and loans wouldstill appear on the banks’ statements of account. Compared with the foreign banks interms of credit approval mechanism, financial banking institutions in our countryshall learn and draw lessons from them, and improve and perfect it according to theactual condition.With the more than30years’ development of China’s reform and opening up,the process of Chinese modernization becomes faster and faster, as well as thegrowing international influence. Therefore, the promotion of China has become themost important task and the first content in the publicity translation. The quality ofthe publicity translation is related to the national interest and image. So, it is veryimportant to explore and research the relevant theory and skill, in order to solve thedifficulties and weakness in practical situation, finally improve the overall quality ofthe translators.At present, we don’t have the perfect publicity translation research system, andthe overall quality is not so high. Sometimes, we meet some situation which is lessthan satisfactory, for example: non-uniform terms and words with Chinesecharacteristics, lack of the theory, the serious mechanical translating phenomena, etc.There are also some logical mess and some other problems in the target Englishtranslation text with no grammar mistake. During the post-graduate study, I focus onthis kind of translation research, especially on theory and practice. This translation report is on the basis of “Exploring the Path of Major-countryDiplomacy with Chinese Characteristics”——the remarks by foreign minister WangYi at the luncheon of the world peace forum and “The Right Approach to UpholdingJustice and Seeking Interest, playing a Positive Role of Responsible MajorCountry”——the remarks also by foreign minister Wang Yi. It is the introduction，research and conclusion to the translation process and the completion.In this practical translation task, together with the translation method of thewords with Chinese characteristics and the long difficult sentences, I use thecorresponding translation strategy and skill to solve the difficulties. Under the theoryof “functionalist theory of translation”,“the text analysis theory” and “the text typetheory”, I analysis the outer and inner factors and the characteristics of publicitytranslation, as well as pay attention to the semantic equivalence, in order to conveythe same message to the target language readers as the source language readers.In this practical translation task, together with the translation method of thewords with Chinese characteristics and the long difficult sentences, I use thecorresponding translation strategy and skill to solve the difficulties. Record andsummary all the questions appeared in this practical translation task, and discuss theprofessional quality in all aspects—language, culture, politics, etc.I hope the whole description and the analysis to the problems and mistakes canprovide certain reference to other publicity translation text and serve certainreference and help to other translators. Make a contribution to improve thetranslation quality, in order to introduce China to the world better.
