Research On The Status Of The Teaching Quality Of College English Course And The Optimization Of Its Assurance System

With the deepening of the reform of our higher education, the conflicts betweenquantity and quality are becoming increasingly serious. The development of socialeconomy made request to the change of cultivation of university talents and its ideology.To comply with the requirement, the ideology of university course is adjusting now.College English course, as a basic course of cultivating university talents, its quality has adirect influence over the cultivation of interdisciplinary talents and it has become a worthysubject for deeper research. This paper makes a research on the quality requirement ofcollege English in our country and the English teaching quality of A University. The authortries to use quality management theory to optimize the Quality Assurance System ofCollege English course in this university, in order to improve its college English teachingquality and improve the adaptability of the cultivation of university talents.This thesis is divided into5parts. Part1is an introduction of the background, targetand significance of this research. Defines related concepts and analyzes domestic andforeign related research situation. Explains the writer’s research ideas, methods andinnovation; Part2analyzes the teaching requirements and objectives based on the newteaching outline; Part3analyzes the datum of the result of questionnaires and interviews,points out the current situation of the English teaching of A University and it’s reason. InPart4, the writer tries to optimize a relative perfect Quality Assurance System of theEnglish course for the university. Part five is a summary of this thesis.
