Next, we described the component situation of sewing semantic field in differentperiods, so we could find out the alternations of these words in the history. To explorethe law of their development, we diachronically compared sewing semantic field indifferent periods. The thesis can be divided into six parts. The first part is introduction, includingpresent situation of research, the purpose and meaning of this research, also methodsof research. At the same time, wedivided Sewing semantic field into two sub-semantic fields: Mending semantic fieldand Making semantic field. Part three is about evolution of Sewing semantic field inHan Wei Jin South and North Dynasties, then compared it with pre-Qin Dynasty.Meanwhile, we analyzed the sub-semantic fields from two aspects: the emergence andapplication of new members, the heritage, development and disappearance of originalmembers. Part four investigated the development and change about each member ofsemantic field in Tang and Song Dynasties, and then compared it with Han Wei JinSouth and North Dynasties.
