Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky has been known by Chinese readers for nearlya century. Due to the complex social environment in China in the1920s and1930s,the acceptance of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky’s works in China was deeplyinfluenced by the historical background, cultural ideological trend, literaryatmosphere, and construction of the new literature from the early start time. And suchfactors, interacted with the acceptance. The current studies on the acceptance of thisperiod have conducted no mature and comprehensive investigation of these factors,especially the close relationship between the two. Therefore, many improvementscould be received in the future research. And it is necessary to pay attention to howthese factors influenced the acceptance of Dostoevsky’s work in China, and to theinteractive relationship between them. In this way, readers may understand thereasons of the acceptance in the1920s and1930s and the differences in theacceptance between in the1920s and1930s, thus realized the deep interactionbetween the acceptance and the construction of the new literature in China.
