Report Of Escort Interpreting Practice Of Zhengding Buddhist Temple

Interpreting is a historic cross-cultural activity, shouldering a heavy responsibility in the process of human communication, understanding and development. Nowadays, during to globalization, China deeps its exchanges with other countries in the world in all domains like politics, economy and culture, where interpreting plays a significant role.This is a practice report based on the tourism escort interpreting for the Iranian client of CSBIO. Taking this interpreting practice as object of study, the author analyzes the problems occurring in all the stages of interpreting practice, explores the characters and skills of escort interpreting and summarizes the experiences and lessons, so as to better serve for the future interpreting tasks.There are four chapters in this article. Chapter One Description of Interpreting Task introduces the background of this interpreting task; Chapter Two Description of Interpreting Process describes the interpreting process which was divided into three phases according to time order: pre-interpreting preparation, interpreting performance and items after interpreting; Chapter Three Analysis of Interpreting Cases takes the typical cases in the practice as the research objects, analyzes the problems occurring in the interpreting practice, proposes theoretical thinking and solutions, and makes a tentative conclusion; Chapter Four Summary of Interpreting Practice is the summary of this interpreting practice, pointing out the unsolved problems and related thoughts in the practice, as well as the inspiration and prospect in future study.
