Abstract Objective To explore the mediating effect of resilience between the relationship of the self-efficacy and the dependent personality dysfunction Tendency level of middle school students, and to provide evidence for the intervention of middle school studentseen the relatio.Methods A sample of 561 middle school students from Beijing completed measures of the General Self-Efficacy, the Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescents and Personality Diagnostic Questionnaire-4.Results The resilience and self-efficacy of the junior high school students were both higher than the senior high; the boys showed a significantly higher level of self-efficacy than the boys. After controlling the grade, gender and age, the self-efficacy could still predicted dependent personality dysfunction Tendency of middle school students. Individual power of resilience and the supportive power of resilience both partially mediated between the self-efficacy and dependent personality dysfunction level.Conclusion The self-efficacy and resilience are important factors which have an effect on the dependent personality dysfunction level of middle school students.
