| The trend of learning Chinese is rising up around the world, more and more people intend to learn Chinese well, so there have new requirements for teaching Chinese. Case-teaching Method, as a new way of teaching, is successfully used in Science of Medical, Science of Law and Science of Business Administration in the early ages. We can draw on the experience of these methods, to use them in teaching Chinese successfully, especially in oral Chinese class.In this thesis, firstly it’s analysis the origin, the meaning and the develop history of the case method. Then use the method of comparison and demonstration to prove that it is possible to put the Case Method into high level oral Chinese classes, and then design a practical course according to it. Given the practical course into the class of high level oral Chinese in Confucius Institute at University of Kelaniya. And then make a investigation about the effect of Teaching. According to the feedbacks of the teachers and students about the problems existing in the course, analysis and make some recommendations, to find out ways to solve these problems.Full-text divided into six parts.Chapter 1 is the part of introduction, main to introduce the value, the purpose and the meaning of the research, then summarize the related research both here and abroad.Chapter 2 is the part of analysis of Case-teaching Method. Analysis the meaning of Case and Case-teaching Method, and then the show problems when using the Case-teaching Method in the oral Chinese class from two aspects. First, the possibility of using Case-teaching Method in the class of teaching Chinese; Second, the possibility of using Case Method in the high level oral Chinese class. At the end make a comparison between the Case-teaching Method and Task-based Teaching Method, which is easy to be confused.Chapter 3 is the part of practical course. first designing and giving a course with the method of case, make a detailed description from the set up before the class to the whole process.Chapter 4 is the part of investigation and analysis of teaching effect. The investigation includes questionnaire survey and interview survey.Chapter 5 is the part of analysis the problems existing in the Case-teaching Method class, and then make some recommendations about these problems. Then put the mode of using case-teaching method in high-level oral class.Chapter 6 is a summary of the whole thesis. |
