The Investigation Of Current Situations Of Chinese Teaching Of CPIK(Chinese Program In Korea) In Muan, Jellanamdo, Korea

With the growing of the relative strength and international status of China, Chinese has become increasingly popular. Chinese education from overseas has attracted widespread attention. In recent years, the Chinese education in Korea is developing rapidly, an increasing number of universities, senior high schools, middle schools, elementary schools, even kindergartens, in Korea have set Chinese course, so the CPIK program was born. CPIK(Chinese Program in Korea)is a project between China and Korea. The Chinese teachers were invited to teach Chinese in elementary school, middle school and senior high school in Korea. The author had the honor to be a member of CPIK in Illo Elementary school and Illo Dong Elementary school in Muan, Jeollanamdo of Korea for 11 months. During the working period, the author found that the Chinese education here developed rapidly. However, many problems had appeared during the Chinese teaching. The author sent questionnaires to all the CPIK teachers(15) in Muan, Jellanamdo and held interviews with them in order to inquire about the current situation of Chinese education of 27 schools including elementary schools, middle schools and senior high schools which they worked in. Besides, the students of 3 schools had filled up the questionnaires to inquire about the motivation and attitude of learning Chinese. The author analysed the current situation of Muan from three aspects of students, teachers and textbooks.The writer hope to discover the problems and spare no efforts to give the solution through this investigation in order to improve the author’s professional skill and provide some suggestions of Chinese teaching to Muan even at home and abroad.
