| There are abundant pottery material, for us to understand the production and living provides excellent data on Yuhuazhai site in the early Yang Shao period. This paper on the basis of predecessors’ research, on the site of early Yang Shao pottery making craft to do preliminary observation and research.Pottery making craft research involves the selection, blocking, trimming, decorating, firing and so on. During this process, by studying the raw material producing area and raw material selection to judge unoriginality of pottery and foreign as well as the standard of the ancients when choosing clay problem.By observing the pottery made after left traces, it can be seen that different types of pottery, pottery in different size, different uses pottery traces adopted by the different methods of blocking and repair;decorating can response is not only an artistic achievement and the adornment of the simple function, also should study its decorate the choice of methods and tools.Built on the two aspects of traditional archaeological and scientific and technological means. Analysis of clay raw materials by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) which are frequently used to present domestic analyzer test, combined with SPSS software analysis; mainly adopts the traditional process of molding trim archaeology, including the perusal and microscope. According to the author study the fish village site is the reclamation of the core forming methods against method is mud, and it come in different finishing process, whereas decorating reflects the fish village ancestors extremely high artistic level and quality.In view of pottery making craft research, the article discussed the pottery production craft characteristics and settlements.
