It has great influence on researching children’s perseverance by playing activities under different pressure situations and material familiarity. A number of scientific studies have proved that the development and training of children’s perseverance is of great significance to form children’s learning quality, develop children’s self-control, and cultivate their will-power. Scholars at home and broad have accumulated plenty of achievements on children’s perseverance in self-control and will-power. Scholars have not only thoroughly analyzed conception, development,cognitive progress and evaluation of children’s perseverance, they have also deeply analyzed the relation between preschool education and children’s behaviors, which offers a solid theoretical foundation for us to explore children’s perseverance. These scholars’ achievements are of great importance except for some weak-points. Firstly, their research subjects mostly age from 4-5 or 5-6, and they rarely focus on preschool children age from three to six years old which signifies that their research subjects are not overall.Secondly, most researchers at home and broad have done some empirical or relative studies aimed at children’s perseverance in self-control, will-power and motivation. There is few studies aiming at children’s perseverance. There is no a domestic research which can indicate how children’s perseverance function when children are facing with different pressure situations and different material familiarity. Thirdly, most researchers at home and broad take persistence as the only dimension to measure children’s perseverance in their questionnaires. Few researchers explore children’s perseverance from a multi-dimension perspective. Lastly, regarding to the same research, every scholar has his or her own conclusion, and their explanations of each conclusion are ambiguous. What’s more, some of research findings are controversial.Therefore, for this study, I randomly chose 72 preschool children who age from three to six years old as research subjects. The variables of this study include pressure situation, material familiarity and age. At the same time I take children’s interest and order as non-experimental factors, and children’s perseverance as finding of this study. Preschool children’s operating of different materials will initiate us into the situation and feature of children’s perseverance and discuss how pressure situation and material familiarity influence children’s perseverance. In addition, Ialso take interview to observe children’s perseverance for the reason that I expect to discuss objectively and comprehensively how pressure situation and material familiarity affect children’s perseverance with quantitative and qualitative analysis. I will put forward some relative educational suggestions according to experimental findings to help teachers improve children’s perseverance in daily life and school teaching. The findings of this study are as following:First, pressure situation does affect children’s perseverance. Compared with low pressure situation, children’s perseverance obtain higher grade under high pressure situation. Besides, children’s perseverance in operating familiar or unfamiliar material are better under high pressure situation.Second, generally speaking,The influence of material familiarity on children’s perseverance is not obvious, but there are different influence on children of different ages. For three years old children and four years old children, the influence of material familiarity on children’s perseverance is very obvious, while for five years old children, the influence of material familiarity on children’s perseverance is not obvious.Third, the age does affect children’s perseverance, three years old children differs evidently from four years old children in total score as to perseverance, and the difference is extremely evident when compared with five years old children. Four years old children comparatively differ from five years old children in total score of perseverance. Above all, along with the growth of children’s age, their perseverance will improve correspondingly,and children of each age have their different features in perseverance.Fourth, according to quantified analyzed findings, there is no obvious interaction between pressure situation and material familiarity in children’s perseverance. However, by comprehensively analyzing children’s language and performance during operating material, their perseverance are better under high pressure situation with familiar material than low pressure situation with unfamiliar material.
