A Report On Interpreting For Hebei Yongren Real Estate Development Company Limited

This is a report based on interpretation practice in Hebei Yongren Real Estate Development Company Limited. The author’s interpreting practice contains two parts: consecutive interpreting for business conference and escort interpreting. In the first place, the author introduces the interpretation task and describes the background and process of the practice. Then the author discusses the problems in the practice and provides some solutions. At last, the author summarizes the whole interpreting practice.The report contains five reports. The first chapter is the introduction of the interpretation task. The author depicts the background of the task and requests of the client. The second chapter is the implement of the interpretation task, containing preparation phase, qualities and performance of interpreters, handling of emergencies and importance of subject consciousness in improving interpreters’ ability. In the third chapter, the author describes some interpretation strategies guided by relevance theory, including communication translation, the interpretation of idioms and terms. The fourth chapter is a conclusion of problems and strategies emerged in interpretation practice, including notes, accent and cross-cultural problems. The last chapter is a summary of the report, in which the author summarizes the whole interpretation practice and proposes its future prospect.
