Interpretation Practice Report-based On The Interpretation Practice For China Automotive Technology And Research Center Co.,Ltd.

The purpose of this interpretation practice report is to analyze language-related problems and non-language problems encountered at the interpretation site and to propose counter-measures by studying the role that the interpreter took and evaluating his interpretation performance.As China's economy grows and further opens to the outside world,the auto industry is becoming a pillar industry of the national economy,industry research and exchange demand is increasing,such exchange activities require interpreters to take a more important role and a more active altitude.Based on this interpretation experience,the author analyzes the interpreting tasks completed in order to achieve the following objectives through this study:First is how do interpreters actively adjust their role positioning and perform interpreter functions so as to promote the communication between both sides so as to reach a cooperation;Second is about why interpreters should explore how to improve the ability of data collection,communication and coordination with the sponsor,and to improve the efficiency of pre-translation preparation.After the interpretation task is completed,the problems and gains in interpretation should be summarized,the knowledge blind spots should be sorted out,and the corpus expanded and improved.The study methods adopted in this report are quantitative research method and experience summary method,and descriptive method and analysis method are adopted in specific case analysis.This paper takes the author's interpretation practice in the 2017 automotive benchmarking research exchange and cooperation conference held at China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co.,Ltd.as an example to summarize the problems encountered and solutions proposed in the interpretation practice.According to the different roles of dialogue participation and cultural transmission that translators play in this practice,this paper analyzes the performance of translators during different stages of this translation task including pre-translation preparation,on-site translation and post-translation summary,by summarizing the experience acquired and lessons learnt during the task,the author put forward corresponding improvement plans,hoping to make a positive impact on future interpretation work.
