On Enhancing Chinese Major Students’ Professional Quality Through Classical Poetry Teaching In Normal School

Chinese classical poetry contains the rich spiritual resources, art forms and language skills. It has great advantages to improve the students’ personality and the ability of appreciate beauty, broaden the cultural vision. For Chinese major students of normal school, Chinese classical poetry is an undoubtedly important course for training the future Chinese teachers’ professional quality. Making full use of the potential advantage of classical poetry is not only beneficial to improve the students’ future occupation jobs required quality, but also help teachers clear training directions and teaching tasks. However, at present teachers in Chinese major of normal schools emphasize professional knowledge while ignore the professional quality training. Poetry teaching only stays on the appreciation, but there are no systemic teaching plans.Aiming at the lack of professional quality and poetry teaching in normal school, the author combines classical poetry teaching with primary Chinese teachers required professional quality, based on the requirements of the new curriculum reform for the primary Chinese teachers’ professional quality, mines the value and significance of classical poetry teaching to improve students’ professional quality in Chinese major, builds teaching system in order to train students’ professional quality from the start of the course objectives, course contents, teaching methods and curriculum evaluations and other aspects. We do it this way to achieve the combination of poetry teaching and professional quality, then both of them could produce a win-win situation, also can provide references way in a specific subject to cultivate students’ professional quality for Chinese teachers in normal school.
