As a report on interpreting, this describes a task conducted by author for the 2014 D.PES SIGN Expo Guangzhou. The author chose a dialogue between the sale and one foreign customer as the case, using translation theories to analyze it. At last, the author summarizes the whole interpreting practice.This report can be divided into four chapters. The first chapter is the description of the interpreting practice. The author introduces the client Shanghai Wit-Color Science & Technology Company Ltd, background and the requirements of this interpreting practice. The second chapter is the process of this task. The author divides it into the early preparation, the latter preparation as well as the temporary preparation, and describes the main work of each phase. The third chapter is the core of this report. In this chapter, firstly the author analyzes the case based on the translation theories. Secondly, the author summarizes the problems happened during the interpreting practice. The fourth chapter is the summary of the whole interpreting practice. In this chapter, the author rethinks this task profoundly, then analyzes the influence of pre-interpreting preparation, awareness of interculture, as well as individual quality on the translation, and gets inspirations for the future study.
