I had three-day’s interpreting practice during March 20th- 21 st, 2014 as one of the interpreters for 2014 Higher Education Innovative Teaching and Quality Assessment Symposium. This report summarizes some problems found during my practice. Some interpreting theories I’ve learnt are applied in my analysis.This report consists of four sections —Task Description, Process Description, Case Analysis and Practice Summary. The first two parts introduce task background and preparation before interpreting. The part of Case Analysis discusses the merits and demerits during interpreting task, and profound considerate about interpreting theory applied into practice. The summary is conducted with living examples coming from this practice itself.I accumulate a lot of interpreting experience and deepen the understanding of interpreting work mode. In this report, I emphasize that interpreting is a comprehensive use of knowledge and language skills. Beginning interpreters are hard to interpret faithfully and smoothly unless they persevere in practice and build up their own experiences.
