Accompanying with the advancement of reform and open up and the development of socialist economic construction, while accelerating the urbanization and industrialization level, the demand of non-agricultural-construction-use land is increasing. But the issues and disputes about land acquisition is endless, in order to keep the land acquisition running smoothly, building up and perfecting the laws and regulations is significant. Because of the distemperedness of legal institutions, it is particularly important to study other countries’ relevant laws and regulations. Thus it needs the legal translation.This report bases on the translation of South Australia Land Acquisition Act1969 to analysis. This report can be divided into four chapters. The first chapter is the brief introduction of this translation report. It is about the background and nature of this translation report. Chapter two shows the brief information of this translation process. It introduces the preparation, practical translation process and proofreading after translation. Chapter three is the most important part in this report that uses the examples to describe the issues and translation methods during the translation process. In this part, vocabulary level is about the translation methods to legal terminology, common vocabularies and modal verbs. The syntactic level shows the translation methods to the simple sentence and complex sentence. The last part summarizes this translation report and prospects the future.The translator aims at using the examples to describe the translation methods and to provide translation measures to the translation practice in the future.
